There is just something about lining up all of your efforts on the counter and admiring your hard work.  Dave and Jace love bottled peaches.  Dave’s dad loves white cake with bottled peaches on top.  My two boys have inherited the love.  I just cannot fall for the soggy cake thing, but I will do anything to make them happy.  I put up 3 bushels of peaches this last week. I sent Jace back to school with a white cake and a bottle of peaches.  It brings me such pleasure to make things and send home with him.  I guess no matter how old they get, I still love taking care of them.

Everytime I put up fruit, I line them all up and they stay like that for a few days, just so I can walk by and see the fruits of my labors.   I made mom some cute little pint jars of peaches.  Thought they would be the perfect size for her.

A little pitch here for Manning peaches again.  They are in fruit heights and are the best peaches I have ever had.  I have been buying these for about 5 years and will not go anywhere else.  They are so good and always just perfect.  I have bought other peaches before and am always disappointed in the size, shape and taste of other peaches.  Hate to share this with too many people, as I don’t want the competition.
